Women’s Clothing of the Past
In Ancient Rome, women’s clothing consisted mainly of tunics, similar to those worn by men but longer, extending down to the feet and these were of two types – the Peplos and the Chiton, which was the tunic used by the Greeks and also by the Romans. Times have indeed changed from those ancient times and women’s clothing has most certainly undergone an incredible change since those days gone by. The tunics now-a-days are low necks and much shorter with embroidery though they are just as inexpensive today as they must have been in ancient times.
